A viral video claims to show a spectator at a heavyweight boxing match held in 1995 between Mike Tyson and Peter McNeely using a 21st century camera phone to snap photos during the fight. According to out-of-place artifact conspiracy theorists, the video is proof of time travel because camera phones were not yet available to the consumer market in 1995. The video, first uploaded to YouTube on September 18, 2015, appears to show a member of the audience holding up an object in a manner that suggests someone using a camera phone to snap photos or film the heavyweight fight between Mike Tyson and Peter McNeely that took place in Las Vegas on August 19, 1995. The clip has been viewed more than two million times since it was uploaded to YouTube, and it has sparked a furious debate, with conspiracy theorists throwing down the gauntlet to skeptics to provide an alternative explanation to the suggestion that someone attended the 1995 fight holding a piece of technology years before the first consumer version became available to the market.

BY the way totally not true..what that video does not show is what I have seen. Being that I am in the process of digitizing the entire Don King Fight Library and this particular tape in the highest definition at the time (720 x 480;:4:4) Sony Betacam) I actually pulled the original betacam SP Tape of this scene which is the beginning of Tyson vs Mcneeley 8/19/95. In the original you can clearly see the light blinking orange just to the lower right of the viewfinder on the allged"SmartPhone". And guess what its not a "smartphone" However it is be the Casio QV-10 Video recorder ( In white) retailed for $499 in 1997 and shot crappy MPG video. Just an FYI.. http://photo.net/equipment/casio/

John m I read your comment and thought it was finally over that it will prove it's not a camera. I found some images online of a camera out in the early 1990's very similar to the device in the video. But yeah I saw your comment and thought you found it but then saw you mention the camera retailed for $499 in 1997 which would mean it was released 2 years after the fight as the fight was in 1995.

He didn't say it was released in 1997. All he said was how much it retailed for in 1997. Idiot

Except that the Casio QV 10 doesn't have a flash or led orange light whatsoever. Google images and this is clear as day.

I recently found out that in 1995 there was very similar to the mobile camera phone Anroid in contemporary times, thanks to video and news.
