Internal documents show how some individuals within NASA still do not take the issue of unidentified aerial phenomena seriously. Last July we published a story detailing how the former UAP Working Group (UAPTF) initiated contacts with the US space agency to exchange information about UFOs. This came to light after our friend John Greenewald of The Black Vault obtained documents through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.
At that time and as part of the investigation, Greenewald also wrote 5 questions for NASA, the Navy and the Department of Defense. And while he only received a direct response from the latter agency, over time - and subsequent requests from the FOIA - he also learned that NASA had received the questions, but hadn't been very professional in handling them.
In internal documents, that is, in emails exchanged between members of the same agency, “suggested responses” can be read, which make a clear mockery tone. Below we reproduce and translate the questions sent by our colleague and interspersed we put the answers always internally (that is, not sent to Greenewald) that the space agency thought could be a good joke:
Question 1: Why did the UAPTF seek to inform NASA about UFOs?
Answer 1: Because NASA has more information about non-terrestrial life forms, including alien interludes. Question 2: Was the report via secure videoconferencing and is it correct to say that it was "classified"? Answer 2: Um, it's confidential. Question 3: Why did NASA include – or did the UAPTF require the presence of the General Manager of the International Space Station? Answer 3: Because he is a know-it-all and has experienced first-degree close contacts. Question 4: Is there anything that can be said about the content of the report? Answer 4: Not something the public understood. Question 5: Although NASA was contacted by the UAPTF to inform them of the matter, it was not on the list of agencies consulted for the UAP's recent report to Congress. Given NASA's recent admission that it's investigating the issue, is there any reason it wasn't included? Answer 5: Reports to NASA are from Area 51 and Skinwalker Ranch. Of course and it should be clarified again these were internal messages between two members of the agency, more specifically between Dana Weigel and Joel Montalbano, deputy manager and manager, respectively, of the International Space Station Program.
This does not mean that other NASA members take the matter in the same way in fact the administrator himself has publicly spoken out in favor of seriously investigating the UFO issue and the existence of other intelligent civilizations.
