Pedro Kanche, director of the El QuintanaRoo website, has revealed the details of the incredible discovery. An artificial implant has been found inside a human skull found by underwater archaeologists. Even though scientists initially thought it was just a plate inserted during skull drilling.
Underwater archaeologists investigating the world's largest underwater cave system have discovered human remains dating back 9,000 years ago. As well as the bones of the ice age animals that once populated the earth. The remains were found in the Sac Actun cave in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo. Scientists say the caves are "the most important underwater archaeological site in the world." 200 archaeological artifacts have been found here. And among them is a human skull with a microchip!
