The origins of Western alchemy can be traced back to Hellenistic Egypt, in particular to the city of Alexandria. One of the most important characters in the mythology of alchemy is Hermes Trismegistus (Hermes the Thrice-Great). The name of this figure is derived from the Egyptian god of wisdom, Thoth and his Greek counterpart, Hermes. The Hermetica, which is said to be written by Hermes Trismegistus, is generally regarded as the basis of Western alchemical philosophy and practice. In addition, Hermes Trismegistus is also believed to be the author of the Emerald Tablet. Source: http://ufothetruthisoutthere.blogspot.pt/2014/10/the-legendary-emerald-tablet.html

The original Emerald Tablet was one of twelve tablets called the Cloister Dora Tura Tablets. Numbers eleven and twelve were stolen by Thoth who originally worked for the Guardians and the highest beings of the Higher Domains. He turned and stole those two tablets from which the Illuminati Fallen Ones created the worlds religions and other manipulative means of enslaving humanity. Number eleven was eventually taken back and King Arthur was hunting for number twelve, not the grail. Eventually, number twelve was also recovered. Thoth is solely responsible for this.
