In what maybe one of the biggest discoveries ever, a team of explorers is claiming that they have found the legendary golden library and other mysterious treasures in the Tayos Cave system in Ecuador. The team announced that they accidentally found some hidden tunnels that were obviously dug out artificially sometime in the ancient past while inside one of the main chambers. The team was able to follow one of these tunnels for approximately ½ mile and came upon a large room containing the golden library and various other treasures Below is a list of what the explorers claim to have found in this chamber: 1. A library with thousands of metal books. The team was unable to specify what metal the books were made of but the look was similar to silver. Each page had symbols and strange writing on them. 2. Individual plates with writing on them and strange symbols that looked to be made of gold. 3. At least several hundred statues of insects, animals and humans spread throughout the large chamber. 4. Lots of metal bars thought to be both gold and/or silver. Also found were various children’s toys and jewelry items made from gold or silver. 5. One large sarcophagus containing one human skeleton decorated with jewels and golden jewelry. 6. The team also found at least three doors that could be more tombs but were sealed completely shut. As of right now, the team has only announced their findings onto a radio show and no other announcements have been made so the jury is still out as too whether their claims are completely true. The team did claim to have samples of at least one of the metal books, one golden plate and several small statues that they will be submitting to professional testing so hopefully this will give us answers shortly.

This reminds me of the gold plates that were found in New England that ended up being the basis of a new religion.

"Supposedly" found. I thought the same thing. As I recall, those plates disappeared after they were magically translated into English.

If you are talking about the "Mormon Tablets" they were supposedly made of gold leaf and were found in Missouri by Joseph Smith. These formed the "Book of Mormon" which is the basis of the "Later Day Saints" (i.e. Mormon) religious sect. It should be noted that in the last few decades major questions have been raised on the authenticity of Smith's find with many believing that the "Tablets" were a pure forgery and made up by Smith. It should also be noted that Smith was apparently a high ranking Free Mason.

Get your facts straight. Smith found the tablets in Palmyra NY and by all accounts it sounds like the metal books are similar. The use of metal books appears to be quite common in South America and the Middle East but only recently discovered so Joseph Smith would have been quite lucky to fabricate the use of such.

You are very mistaken. Joseph Smith was a 14 year old boy when he translated the plates. I challenge you to let the missionaries talk to you and provide you with a copy of the Book of Mormon and then see how you feel about this. One should not spout off about something they don't understand. 7/19/2016 10:44:41 pm
Joseph Smith when he was 14 prayed to know which church to join. He was visited by God the Father and Jesus Christ and was told to join none. He was later led to the Hill Comorah where the Golden Plates were hidden. If you would read the Book of Mormon you would know it was not made up by Joseph Smith. I just visited Palmyra and could feel the spirit there. Besides Joseph Smith there are 11 others that viewed the plates and never recanted their testimony. You can pray and ask if this or anything is true and if done in faith you will get an answer.

Yes and to your Hello! This is quite of an Astonishment, not so? I am so very much surprised by this news report because I am not understanding that any further expeditions of the Tayos regions are on going since the horrible fates of the Univerisitat of Leipzig mission. This is of course this sin of much too old becoming, yes my colleagues??

Nick, notwithstanding your obvious suppressed penchant for anal sexual relations (or perhaps just a Freudian slip), it is quite ironic that someone with the moniker of "Fact Checker" has managed to get his facts wrong. If you want to disparage someone's beliefs at least get the narrative correct and leave the extraneous cryptic references to the serious conspiracy theorists.

I visited that location on a rafting excursion. I remember using my acoustic guitar as a paddle but the sun is so strong in Ecuador it shrunk into the size of a Ukalalee. When we entered the cave I strummed a few chords and you could hear the echo as the sound reverberated from the far chamber. Finally we were able to locate the far back chamber after getting lost down the long tunnels and there they were ... Golden Plates. It had been a long day and we were quite hungry so we used them to eat off of, washed them, and placed them back on the walls of the cave so as to make it look like they hadn't been disturbed. Suddenly the devil woman jumped out of a crack in the wall of the chamber and said " Poo poo Ca Ca" which means in ancient Ecuadorian Qui Che ... Do you know how to play Danny Boy?

Nothing will come of this alleged find, theres only two ways in tht cave one is inecessible due to the mass of jungle an the other is a 500ft drop via a rope where there are is more than one cave entrance aand only one of them leads to the librairy, you cant just climb down due to the toxic bat shit around the sides of the drop & you hv to gt past the thuru warriors who gaurd it, love to see the footage & evidence but I knw it wont be fourth coming, I wrote to the lawer who was also the local mayor and doctor of equador who was joan morez friend and involved with him and these indians his responce was doniken was a liar an nt wellcome bk, the rest of my findings are private, gd luck to thoese who dare to try

Knowing now that the Mayans, Aztecs and other South American cultures traveled North America extensively I could see the possibility that perhaps the tablets believed to be found by Joseph Smith in NY could be connected somehow to those found in Tayos. Perhaps we don’t know as much as we think we do about our history and should keep an open mind to the possibility to other explanations. Not that Von Daniken and his cronies are in anyway correct(cause they’re not) but still there’s too much physical proof written history is inaccurate.
